INA DOM TOM

Following the launch of two European calls for tender in 2012, INA, appointed by the French Senate, turned to Vectracom for a project to preserve content located in France’s overseas territories.

Vectracom then developed a system consisting of 16 ingestion channels to manage the different content in the best possible way. The team was also responsible for installing the devices at each site. Local operators were also trained on site.

The content from St Pierre et Miquelon was the first to be processed and preserved by the Vectracom team, followed by Martinique, New Caledonia and French Guyana…

This 6-year project saw the system travel to 9 French overseas departments and territories. 140,000 hours of programmes were digitized and repaired where necessary. Storage conditions have also been improved.
